a few more from today

You all have been so gracious with my feeble attempts to create something in my small yard that I thought I'd share a few more pictures that I took today.

Here is the first bloom from Baronne Edmond de Rothschild. I got him from Vintage or RVR last fall.

Here is a shot of the newly expanded, now heart-shaped bed in the front yard. It's not what I want yet but the older roses are looking pretty good this year. The roses you can see in this picture are: Gruss An Aachen, Abraham Darby, Marchessa Bocella and Sharifa Asma.

Abraham Darby with Perle d'Or and some iris in the background.

And finally, one of a new favortie: Grace Darling. I love the huge fragrant blooms on the tiny bush.

Thanks for looking. Jeff

Feeble Attempts? Jeff, that has to be a joke! I LOVE the grouping in your front garden. I think the combination is inspired and will look better every year. Grace Darling is on my want list, but even more so now. Is Sharifa Asma as fragrant as everyone says? I really like how soft and charming this rose looks.

I really hope your neighbor across the street gets inspired by you. Ho hum.

Love seeing more of your garden this year, Jeff! Can't wait to see how your new heart-shaped bed will look by the Fall.

Look at you! Trying to enable us into purchasing Grace Darling. I tried to avoid looking her up from your other post the other day, but I can't resist any longer. Hate to admit it, but I do love being enabled into purchasing more roses!

More pictures please!

Audrey

Looking good, Jeff. They're all beautiful. But my garden's full - can't enable me.

I need to add Grace Darling to my wish list, love the color.

Marchesa Boccella is one of my favorites for fragrance. Your garden has lovely roses, thanks for sharing.
