Sunshine in a bloom, Golden Celebration. Long anticipated wait for…………Gertrude Jekyll. What a fragrance!!! The Alnwick Rose Huntington Rose about to burst any day now. Lady of Megginch Queen of Sweden with Golden Celebration Darcey Bussell Crocus Rose, she's going to be HUGE! Lady of the Mist Unknown OGR. This was purchased this past weekend from ARE, and I’m surprise it didn’t have a nametag. I hope someone can ID her for me. Marjorie Fair Thanks for looking! |

| Crocus Rose really will be huge. Watch out! |
|
| I know you get some of your roses from A.R.E. Where do you get the others? Yea, like I need more roses to plant. Have three that still need to get into the ground. |

| Thanks for the compliments everyone! The roses sure loved the rain we've been receiving. I can't wait for the other rose bushes to bloom... Wilo, most of my Austins were purchased from Dirt & Roses, a local nursery in Pflugerville, who I believe purchase their roses from Chamberlee Rose Nursery in Tyler. When Dirt & Roses does not have a rose that I really, really want, I then shop at the US David Austin website. All of my OGR are from the Antique Rose Emporium, which I simply LOVE! A.R.E. is like a big candy store for us roseaholics! |
|
| Oh how I love the Austins! I only wish I had room for more. I expect all are gonna be huge in TX if they're anything like they grow in MS. I bet you garden smells like heaven. |
|
| I like how you describe GC; 'sunshine in a bloom'... The photo of Queen of Sweden in dappled shade - so lovely. I'll be interested to see how your Huntington rose progresses. Great color! |

| Vuwu, thanks for posting the gorgeous pics! I love Golden Celebration and have two of them. It is such a fantastic rose. But I love all your roses very much. In the words of Oliver, "More Please". Juliet |

| Thanks for these pictures. I was curious about the Darcey Bussell as to what it looked like. I, too, say watch out for Crocus Rose. It gets quite large. It is also a very sturdy variety. At first I thought that I might get rid of it, but after its third year, it really got going and began blooming very regularly with lots of flowers. Now I would hate to part with it. |
