Very pretty! Does it smell nice, too?

Alas, mine died in its super-hot spot, but yours is really lovely. The close-up pictures especially are to die for. This rose reminds me of a noisette I do have, Mrs. Woods Lavender Pink Noisette in terms of shape of the blooms, except that my rose is a deeper lavender pink. Thanks for posting these lovely pictures.

Very lovely, Audrey, but your Gaura needs to move. Mine really takes up some real estate by the end of summer, and I would think it will come back for you next year. By then NN will be at least 4' wide (and getting bigger). Gaura gets about 3' wide here and 3-1/2' tall. I love it!!

Very beautiful rose indeed! I like that you combined it with what looks to me like a gaura. The blooms of both plants compliment each other very well! Christina

bellegallica, I detect a faint smell, but my nose could be broken :-) Ingrid, I must check out Mrs. Woods Lavender Pink Noisette. Nothing wrong with adding more of a good thing, right? Sherry, thanks for the heads-up about the Gaura. Funny that you mentioned them coming back larger next year (I picked them up at the Lowe's annual aisle). Go figure! Florence, Christina, and Krista, I can't wait for my baby specimen to grow LARGER! I wonder if Spring Fever has hit me? LOL Thanks for looking everyone! Audrey

Audrey, bringing up this post again. Would love to hear how your CPC, BN and NN are doing.. I purchansed the book Noisette Roses - 19th Century Charleston's Gift to the World. For a beginner like me, its a great book. Somebody mentioned it on the forum and I made a smart buy from my smart phone right away :) I have not finished reading yet, got it yesterday in the mail. |
