So lovely, Ingrid. It really is. You have to stop badmouthing your gorgeous garden. You're going to hurt its feelings, ya know.

Gorgeous photos. Your garden is magnificent and the setting is too.

So many beautiful blooms! You have gorgeous views too... Is the Souv. d'un Ami the rose you recently gave away?

RE: Happy Easter (in the Garden)

Okay Sherry, I be good. I must admit that the garden is shaping up nicely this spring.

Thank you Jerome. High praise considering your splendid garden.

Masha, you're so kind. This is the original Souvenir d'un Ami. The one I gave away I acquired about a year later, so it's smaller, although it was beginning to take off quite nicely.

Spectacular pics and garden scenery, Ingrid. Your garden really says "spring."

Oh my--I love that first picture---what a wonderful view you have---

You should be so proud of your garden considering some the problems I've heard you mention--

I LOVE Iris almost as much as roses (did I just say that!!)LOL LOL--Yours are lovely----

Thank you Florence, you are so sweet. I also love irises very much. I have reblooming ones since the spring can often be hot and short, but rebloom isn't terribly reliable.

Spectacular view, Ingrid! I must have been blind or something because I've never really "looked" at your background -- always looking at the roses.

Love your Sophie's Perpetual. Would you recommend her for my Texas climate?

Thank you Audrey! This is the very first bloom on my tiny band so I don't have personal experience of her heat tolerance, but HMF rates heat tolerance as "excellent" and to me this rose looks as though it has quite a bit of China blood in it. I think it's going to stay small for quite some time, but I really like the way the bloom has looked over the last few days as it opened fully. It may benefit from being planted in afternoon shade.

Ingrid, I love the iris and limonium with the roses. They go so beautifully together.
I pinched the idea from you and have got a couple of young limonium coming on. They haven't flowered yet.
Your garden has a lovely quality, hard to describe but peaceful and elegant.
I always take a lot of notice of which roses you grow, as I think we have very similar conditions. The roses that fry with you, also fry with me!

Daisy, you are so sweet! I value your compliments knowing what a breathtaking garden you had in England, and your beautiful new little garden coming along. I'm noticing that the limonium proliferate and am finding little plants here and there, which is nice.

I do agree we have very similar climates and it's nice that we can "steal" ideas from each other. I love having that kind of gardening bond.
