Patio Garden

Mostly roses but I snuck in a camellia... The last couple years I've posted pics of the same roses (Crepuscule, Ladybanks and Abe Darby) and this year is no different :-( I actually do grow other roses! - it's just they are too young to photograph. That's Golden Zest in the third pic just outside the patio.

Your patio looks very lush and inviting!

I like your second photo, white ladybanks? I can't grow them here because they will overtake the property :(

Your camellia is worth showing too!

It's always good to wake up in the morning to see lovely beauties like yours. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my, how beautiful! I think I need to shovel (bulldoze) my garden and start a patio garden.
Your photos are outstanding!

It's really delightful, it looks very restful. The Lady Banks is spectacular.

Lady Banks is stupendous and Golden Zest is so beautiful. I'm not familiar with this rose but will certainly look it up now. It looks like an Austin. Love the color.

My LAWD I would kill for your hardscaping! Gorgeous garden design. Wish I had an eye for that.

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful area. I like the rich colors on your roses.

Thank you all very much! Audrey, if you love Ladybanks, this is Purezza (smallest variety of LB) and it's growing in a container - so it's possible to grow her with limited space. Trust me Hamp, you do not want to shovel prune your wonderful place for a patio garden- but you knew that... :~) Thanks for your kind comments. Cwatherby, you made my day. I don't feel like I have an eye for design but thank you! The patio is currently a jungle the size of a postage stamp and has goofy aspects I don't photograph. I think maybe I compose better pics than I do gardens. Ingrid, Golden Zest is a great rose. One of its parent's is Golden Celebration. Its color can vary from that rich yellow to a beautiful paler color. Here's a pic from last year that shows GZ's variance:

and here's one more pic I took because the sky was so beautiful. The weather has been weird in CA, so windy (I took a lot of blurry pics) and rainy late in the season.
