| This is always the first rose to bloom each spring. Once blooming, looks great all year, forms hips. Beautiful foliage. Now this rose, look at the foliage, I know it hasn't bloomed yet but does it look farmiliar to anyone? The foliage is almost grayish. It's about to bloom but I'm just wondering what species it is. It is a found rose. |

| Thank you- I can tell the blooms are white, most in clusters of 3. I will take a look at Lois Riel. I have rules out r.Glauca. Thanks! |

| I like the spinossisima's, Altora. That is a pretty one. Louis Riel looks like a lovely rose. If your mystery has a lot of thorns - I can't tell - look at r. fedtschenkoana. It has a greyish cast also. But it looks more like Joe's picture. Gean |
