| Lots of rain & powdery mildew it's a wonder they didn't all ball but quite a few did.
Kron Princessin Vikoria starts another year about 80% of the Bush is white now about 20% of pink sports that are really often not that much different than SDLM & sometimes like Madame Cornelissen. Pink Sport Pink Sport The Sports appeared in about it's 3 to 4th year I was careful not to prune that area and each year I get more blooms & the occasional chimera half & half bloom. After sitting for weeks as buds after the heat wave SDLM bloomed but did'nt retain her color very long she went to the gray pink dishwater color that sometimes happens with this rose. Still a very vigorous example of it this rose is 5 ft tall by about 4 wide. LaFrance
Capt Dyel is the darkest I've ever seen it I took this with my camera phone |

| Bourbons love NY & I have yet to meet a Bourbon I didn't love I was at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens on Saturday & saw my old Catherine Guillot there. I have such a small amount of space to garden in I donated A Marie de St Jean, a Hermosa & Catherine Guillot to the Cranford Rose Garden in turn they let me have a rooted canary Island. |
