| again, please excuse my sometimes over-saturated camera settings. I went right at lunch and the sun was really bright. Hope you enjoy! I sure did! If only my camera battery hadn't died, I'd share the Hybrid Musks and the Wichuranas with you!

Sombreuil and that gazebo are to die for. What a treat this is to see posted. That place is a paradise. Juliet

I love all the pictures but Sophy's Rose and Reine de Violettes really stole my heart. Some of those roses are so huge it's scary. I wonder how old they are. Thanks much for posting. I've heard about this garden and now I feel almost as though I've been there. Ingrid

Ingrid, a few of the moss and old portlands and damasks,etc... they are HUGE. the kind of things you don't want to meet on a dark night. It looked like they might send their thorny branches out into the walk way and eat a child. haha. :) I think they must be over 100 years old or something. I really don't know though. I overheard the tram guy saying something like that, but I couldn't catch clearly what he was saying.

These pictures are incredible. We have been to Descano and loved the huge roses. Scabrosa has the truest clove fragrance to me. Did you see the gigantic mound of Fortune's Double Yellow? I hope it was still there. Thanks for the pics. Karen
