| I love fragrant roses, and these are some of my most fragrant. The roses are still a number of weeks away from blooming, it will be so wonderful to see them in bloom again.
Gertrude Jekyll, one of my favorite Austins, very strong fragrance.
Eglantyne, another great Austin rose. I've been growing this rose for so many years, one of my best.
Comte de Chambord, always a treat to see it in bloom.
Mme Isaac Pereire, I really like the vibrant blooms, strong scent that reminds me of raspberries.
Louise Odier, another great Bourbon.
Marchesa Boccella, very reliable for me and a heavy bloomer.

| Your blooms size are just breathtaking! I can't wait to get mine to look like yours. All of mine are babies right now so they're not as full and lush. Oh well, I'll just have to look at yours until they're ready. Ummm, hello, can you plants speed it up? I'm not getting any younger... Thanks for the wonderful photos! Audrey |

| Nice collection of blooms what kind of repeat do you get on Louise Odier. |
|
| These are really luscious, Krista. I have to say my favorite is Mme. Isaac Pereire, which I imagine might also be one of the most fragrant ones. Does this rose have a fragrance that wafts on the air? Ingrid |
|
| Thank you, everyone, for the kind words. Joe, the repeat on Louise is good, but not quite as good as some of my other Bourbons. Perhaps it will improve as the plant matures. It is three years old now, I think. Ingrid, it doesn't have a strong wafting aspect to it, although it is quite fragrant. My Mme Pierre Ogers waft a lot. MIP might waft more as it matures, it is not a large plant now, about 3 feet wide and somewhat less tall. It's a few years old. |

| As you know already, I have a weak spot for fragrant roses, too. So for me it is very interesting to see some of your most fragrant ones. It is impossible to pick a favorite for me, they are all so pretty! I don't grow any of your favorites yet, except Mme. Isaac Periere, but that could easily change in the future ;-)! Just out of curiosity, if you had to pick one rose out these, which one would you say is the most fragrant one? Hope your beauties start to bloom for you soon, again. Thanks for posting! Christina |

| Krista, beautiful pink roses! I wish I could smell the pictures. Carla |
|
| I think I can smell them from here. Delicious! |
|
| Thank you, to all. Christina, that's kind of tough to pick one, but... Marchesa Boccella might be the one that seems to have the strongest and sweetest fragrance. |
