| Well, I am really mad now. I see a bunch of ads and no way to respond. Am I being forced to click on them? I don't think this happens anywhere else on the forum including the general gallery. I have a bunch of new pictures from the Heritage, and some from my yard but I probably shouldn't post. This seems to be killing the gallery.
Ingrid, I love the way your Charles Darwin looks. I also detect a hint of mustard:-), but the color is very unusual. If it blooms well and doesn't crisp, it would be a keeper for me. I love the lavender area, those greys and blues look gorgeous. Masha |

| Thank you Masha. I really like this rose and in my garden (aka "crispville") it hasn't shown any tendency to do that. Glad you like the lavender area. I'm trying to stick to certain colors in different areas but I haven't found it easy to do Strangely, I haven't had any ads come up at all when I come on the gallery page. It could be because my husband put in some sort of ad blockers. I don't know what I'd do without him; I can only do the most basic things on my laptop. What a shame if you can't post your pictures; I always look forward to them so much. Ingrid |

I've noticed Charles Darwin is one of the thicker petaled Austins, so it will hold up in heat pretty well unlike my Golden Celebration which crisps in the sun. Yea, it wouldn't let me reply. I posted a pic of another person's Charles Darwin in a pot and it won't work because of the ads so here it is.

| Regarding the posting, I think it is just a website being messed up - html web pages tend to be that sort of nightmare, that's why a lot of newer websites use php and flash instead. It is annoying, but best is just to ignore it and make another thread. Alternatively could ask moderators to fix it, but I am not sure if they even have them here on garden web. Oh and the poted rose is stunning! I won't ever manage to grow something of that size in a pot. |

| Ingrid, I though they were gorgeous too, but couldn't respond. Thanks Masha! I contacted gardensweb about a previous similar problem... they said it was some type of server issue that they were trying to fix,... but obviously, unfortunately, we are still having the problem |

| I can't respond to Ingrid's original CD post either. Thanks for creating an alternative way to voice ourselves, Masha! Ingrid, as you might know I am usually not into yellow roses, but I have to say that I am quite fascinated by your Charles Darwin. It is a very unusual and interesting color. That it does not crisp so easily certainly is an advantage, since some of my roses are having already problems with fried petals and it is not even really hot yet. Christina |

| Thanks so much everyone. I'm very anxious to see this little band grow up and show what it can do. I think it's a versatile rose since it could work in either cool or warm color schemes. I just hope it loves the heat in my garden. Ingrid |

| Lovely pics, Ingrid, I like the soft blending of the colors. |
