Misty cold and gray often makes for good photos.
Capt Dyel de Graville another gift from SDLM a wonderful gift that I will always be greatful for.

Bud on Marie de St Jean (Portland) a difficult rose to get a shot of the deep magenta pink fades quicky to white and the blooms disappear quickly on this gem this is the 2ndd time I've owned it I killed the last one by accident.

fewer blooms this year on Don Juan because we put a new trellis in later than we should have The clematis with it is Ramona a good workhorse that I planted with the two 20 somthing year old Don Juans

Catherine Guillot was drenched and so many of her blooms and canes were in the mud ah well

Looking Toward Kron Princessin Viktoria

The one good thing about a rainy day means the peonies lay down and so I can cut them and briong them home without feeling guilty.

Oh, how lovely! I like your third photo with the arbor and Don Juan.

It must be nice to live up north because your garden looks so lush and green!

And to add insult to injury, you're able to grow peonies!

You have a wonderful garden, labrea!

Your pictures are beautiful and the peonies are to die for. If they bloomed most of the year I suspect many of us would be growing them instead of roses. I love the garden shot with Kronprinzessin Viktoria. I have a young one and I like how it looks when it's more mature. It's always good to have an idea of the end result. Please just keep posting more pictures, you have a lovely garden.

totally gorgeous. thanks for taking shots showing more of the garden, too. That's always really helpful to inspire ideas for ones own garden. :) much appreciated, yours is so pretty!
