| I keep going back to Descanso and Huntington because they are so beautiful right now. I'm trying to study up on roses I'm interested in. :)
Here's a few more from Huntington Gardens this past weekend. Alnwick Castle (love the globular bloom!)
Another shot of the charmingly shattered Anne Boleyn
Bow Bells. I LOVE YOU. I think I may have to buy you next year.
Cesar
Dark Lady
English Violet
Evelyn and her petals
Falstaff
Gentle Hermione
The Shepherdess
Gertrude Jekyll (growing on me)
The general splendor :)
SdlM and companions
Kathryn morley
The rose in the middle back (pale pink) is Mayor of Casterbridge. Someone had asked how big it is... um... well, it's this big. (big!)
Perhaps my favorites of the teas on display at Huntington, despite some crispy leaves.
Can't remember if this one was at Descanso or Huntington.
Prospero
I really like Sally Holmes. :)
Tess of D'Ubervilles
Zephirine Drouhin

It was fun picking out my favorites. This time it's Cesar, Falstaff and Kathryn Morley. Panachee is also very beautiful. Aimee, you're doing a public service for those of us who haven't seen these gardens in person, or at least not for some time (Huntington). Thank you so much. Ingrid

I completely agree with Ingrid. You are doing all of us, who haven't seen the gardens in person, a great service. I don't have a favorite, as I love them all...Gertrude is divine! Beautiful photography....post pics anytime you visit a garden; okay? Thanks for sharing, Audrey

I agree. I moved away from So Cal before I had a chance to visit the Descanso. So like Audrey said, and I think this goes for EVERYONE, post pics anytime you visit a rose garden, as it is a delight to us all. Rose pics are why we log onto this gallery! Your pics, in particular, are very nice. Thanks for posting. Annabeth

Beautiful pictures, aimeekitty. There are so many roses that it is hard to choose a favorite... Masha

I love the fragrance of The Alnwick Rose, one of my favorite Austins. Your pics capture the splendor of the garden, thanks for sharing.

Beautiful pics! Alnwick Castle looks to be more pretty than I thought it was - I got it as a replacement rose, so did not pay much attention where I plant it, but it seems I might quite like it after all. :)
