I got out of work at 4:15 and raced to Brooklyn because Madame Edouard Ory was not lost and I had to get a shot of it this year and the rose Garden closes abouit 5:30
Moss madame Edouard Ory

I love the striped ball that is Variegata di Bologna I also love the deep red version Variegata di Bologna Rouge it also somtimes has small white stripes

and somtimes just faint lighter stripes of the same shade

Pink Leda

Paul Ricault was a little worse for wear but still beautiful

My heart went Pitter pat for Alice Vena some years the heat fries it as it opens this was the darkest I've seen it in years without it being a boiled mess.

Henri Martin

Lady Mary Fitzwilliam what a gem alas she blows to fast.

Fab photos!!! At first glance I thought Eric's message said "I'm glad you MARRIED Mme. Edouard Ory"...you'd be a happy couple, and what a lovely bride.

How inconsiderate of them, to close at 5.30pm. :>)
but I'm so glad I can enjoy your lovely photos.

Wonderful pictures, labrea. Mme Ory looks gorgeous. Pink Leda is lovely, in fact, they all are. Thanks for posting.

What a beautiful group of roses. VdB does indeed look sumptuous but they're all extremely lovely. The European once-bloomers really are in a class of their own. Thanks for your efforts in getting these pictures.
