| I have 'Her Royal Highness', The Princess Alexandra of Kent in my garden and I am charmed. She has been providing enchanting clusters of huge, pink roses all spring. But 'Her' pink is special, moving from warm coral pink to cool lilac pink in the long life of 'Her' blooms. I want to live in this color.
There are many moods to this Princess, making 'Her' enigmatic. I have a stone statue of a little girl, brought back from the left bank of a Paris flea market, under the bush and she is featured here as well. Thank you for your time with me and 'The Princess'! Juliet

| Beautiful rose---and I love your statute----very appropriate for a rose lover like you----how did you cart her back from Paris----- Nice to see you posting----I've missed you Florence |

| I love this rose. I fell in love with her when I visited David Austin Roses nursery last year, and ordered a bare root this year. Mine has just started blooming, but I am so pleased with her. I'm liking several of these new... how should I put it... "mixed shaded" roses that Austin is producing... I love Young Lycidas for his mixture of purple shades, and a new one I bought when I visited the nursery last weekend is Princess Anne, with her amazing various shades of pink, (I'll post some photos soon). So yes, Princess Alexandra is wonderful, I'd highly recommend this rose. Your photos are lovely. robert |

| Thank you, Ushak, Florence and Robert! Ushak, about her re-bloom. I've had this rose since last year and from what I remember, she bloomed mostly in spring and then started up again in autumn, with some scattered blooms in between. Florence, it's wonderful to hear from you too. You are such a sweetheart! In regards to the statues, I had them shipped home. I actually got two, a boy and a girl. The boy is under Golden Celebration. They are only about two feet tall each. Robert, how I envy you living in Oxfordshire. The gardens there are fab! It's so easy to fall in love with Princess Alexandra, isn't it? Such large blooms and such great form. Do you notice that she starts out coral pink and then becomes a cool pink color later? Also, her blooms last a long time on the bush. I too love Young Lycidas, as well. All magenta and purple tones, quite lovely. Juliet |

| Juliet, your pictures of this rose are stunning. How wonderful that you have a pair of these statues; I've seen the boy on the regular rose gallery. I think they fit you and your garden to a T. Lovely to have you back here. Ingrid |

| Juliet, your Princess Alexandra of Kent rose is soo... lovely! Coincidentally I saw this rose in person for the first time today and I agree with everything that you said about this beauty. The color is very special, blooms are big, and fragrance is great, too. I am on rose buying stop right now, because my pot ghetto is too big, but when the ban is lifted again this is the first rose that I will get. Thanks for posting about this wonderful rose!
