What a beautiful garden. I love the pink and white blooms on Bouquet Parfait. (Could the Hybrid Musk be Penelope...) Cute fence, and dog!

hi, Alida, How exciting that your roses are blooming; it must make you feel even more that you're at home in your new place. Congratulations. I have 'Gilda' which I think is the same as 'Gem of the Prairies' and 'Orden.' I read that posting too from Hannes on Paul Z's site. My 'Bouquet Parfait' has just barely started blooming; I really like that rose! Did you take your 'Tausendschon'? Thanks for posting your pictures. So glad for you. Love that gate - hope life is good for you. Gean

Thanks Krista! That hybrid musk is Ghislaine de Fligonde, finally remembered! Hi Gene! Yes I did take Taus! It's still blooming too! Harison's Yellow was in a coma- it just leafed out a few weeks ago and is blooming now. I was nervous about that.. Oh I think Gilda is also the same rose. I forget who intruduced Gem of the Prairies but I think it was someone who did buy lots of roses from Geschwind. Even the buds and foliage look exactly alike. And thanks for the kind words!

That's great congratulations! I hope your roses love your new garden.

Lovely roses all, but your Unique Panachee is to die for. One of the prettiest striped roses I've ever seen. Lovely gate, and so thoughtful, and your daughter's dog is a sweetie. It looks as though he might need sunscreen on that pink patch on his nose! Ingrid

I love that rose too, it's still blooming... And the hair is growing back on Lucky's nose!

Altorama, It's been 2 years since you posted this, but I'm wondering if that unknown rose at your mother's house might be "Gilda". I'm wondering if you can tell me anything about it? I've been searching for a climbing rose that will go with my Desert Willow "Bubba" along with the magenta blooming Texas sage. Did this rose give your mom any problems? I wanted to put it on an arbor. What would your thoughts be about that? Xtal
Here is a link that might be useful: Gilda
