| The buds on this rose are so incredibly beautiful with the pink edging, as though someone had carefully painted them. In my own garden I don't have roses with this color, but I've always admired Alchymist because it's just a spectacular rose. Ingrid |

Beautiful just beautiful. This spring my better half accidentally weed wacked a cl Joseph's Coat. Well it wasnt exactly accidental. He planned to cut it back but he had a new weed wacker with a steel blade. Well you get the idea. I wasnt too upset. While I liked the colors the intensity was a bit too strong for its location. Looks to me that your Alchymist will be a stunning replacement. So thankyou for helping me. Jeannie |

| Sorry I've taken so long to respond to all your wonderful comments. This is really the defining rose in our garden even though I never planned such a thing. It's just so graciously colorful, large, well-shaped blooms, and prolific that it dominates the more delicate treasures nearby. Jeannie, you're making a great choice to bring it into your garden as the colors are never better than here in the PNW. We happily gave up a Joseph's Coat some years ago and this was actually a replacement (within my subtle color scheme) for the warm colors that Marji loves and photographs so beautifully. |
