Most of the old oses have finished their first flush which is so early some of the moderns are in full swing theres already a lot of BS in the Garden.
Pretty Jessica is Just starting it's flush too hot for this early in the season.

Capt Dyel de Gaville
often a much softer lighter pink before it fully opens another sport of SDLM

A modern a Generoa a single stem creates an entire boquet fragrant also Paul Bocuse a magnet for BS the finish color is also a flat flesh color but I still like it.

Another Modern Generosa which I got by accident from RU a few years ago Don Poncet nice fragrance little BS medium red with a touch of coral

Good old workhorse Ballerina

A very fragrant Mystery that was in the garden before I arrived thought to be Charles Mallerin, Thought to be Oklahoma one problem the person who planted it visited once and said it was from her grandmothers Garden which would make it over 60 years old or older. It never haas a regular form sometimes angular somtimes globular always beautifully fragrat

We have 2 Don Juan about 25 years old somtime I get a fragrance other times it's just not there.

A treat for me a plong of Pretty Jessica and Capt Dyel fragrance, fragrance

Is your unknown a HT? If so, it might be Mirandy. I'm actually growing Mirandy from a cutting as we speak. The fragrance is intensely warm and provocative in nature from the old rose variety.

for about a year we thought it was solved and that it was indeed Mirandy but for the next 2 years I watched Mirandy at The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the forms while sometimes very close this stays quite narrow and upright and wants to get up to over 6 feet if permitted. The Fragrance while close is much more intense in this rose.

Love your rose pictures----especially the plonk----the warm weather has shortened the bloom time on many of my roses.

Can't seem to get many good pictures.

I do enjoy your pictures.

Pretty Jessica and Capt Dyel in a vase ... doesn't get any better than that.

Very nice, Joe.

I really admire your photography skills. The roses just look so fresh and real to me. Interesting the Generosas. I haven't really been paying attention to any of the introductions.
