| Finally we got a rose season full swing - almost a month later than usually.
Here are some of my first arrivals:
Blush Noisette
Common Moss
Mme. Isaac Pereire
Reine Victoria
Macrantha Raubritter just starting
Narrow Water
F.J. Grootendorst
The Piligrim (if it is not mislabeled)
And a few moderns/miscs: Jasmina, old style rose, I got it as replacement plant and so far very pleased with her
Rhapsody in Blue
Yellow rose I got as a b-day gift and which was supposed to be Graham Thomas, which I think it isn't, but it is also a keeper for surviving without watering in a pot and blooming non the less.
Unknown discount bin rose, definitelly a keeper:
Tea pot converted into vase:
The pot is there to give some shade for very tiny Baron d'Lain ;)

elemire, lovely photos you have posted here! Enjoy your first rose flush of the season! I love the shot of Common Moss with the white and yellow flowers as a background. Your Mme. Isaac Periere is awfully pretty! Reminds me why I am putting up with a puny band that doesn't want to grow for me. I am very pleased to see that you grow Jasmina a rose that I don't hear much of. I got her from a friend recently and I like the bloom a lot on your photo. I would like to ask how this rose is doing for you. Thanks for any answer in advance. Christina

My Jasmina is still young, I got her this spring as a replacement plant and she arrived in a pot, where I suspect she spent whole last growing season somewhere in the back of the nursery - so she had "leftover" sign all over her. :) Non the less, she did quite well for me since. I planted her in a corner near the hedge, which generally is rather dry, mostly heavy clay with small bit of extra compost I've added when planting her, no fertilization so far, no mulching, probably about 6-ish hours of direct sunlight, since later in the day she gets a shade from a tree. She put decent growth for the newly planted rose and is going to bloom quite a lot on all canes. Leaves look to be healthy as well, although I did not have much bs appearing in the garden in general, so still have to see how she does. All in all so far I have an impression that she is not all too fuzzy rose, more the kind that you plant and enjoy, with occasional handful of fertilizer. Looks wise, she has rather small leaves, a bit like for example New Dawn. From what I saw in HMF she can be rather bushy, but I think as young plant she can have a bit bare canes, before she puts on some volume - a bit that sort of teenage plant stage. Blooms are really pretty and subtle - quite round, nodding, pale pink on outside and darker inside, quite lovely blend. Also I like the fragrance, it is sweet and medium strong, somewhere in between old rose and tea, with fruity notes. Overall I think it is more of a rose that looks good as a cottage garden plant, rather than stand-alone formal garden plant. If for example Mme. Isaac Pereire is that kind of rose "look at me, I am primadona, look at the bright, look at the huge, hello, I am fragrant, what you mean I am bit short and need to improve my health? What kind of companion plant is that, can't you see it does not match my shoes?", Jasmina is a bit like "oh whatever, I am young village lass and don't need a ton of make-up and the evening gown to be pretty and I do not get hangovers after each flush. And by the way, I am all natural."

elemire, thank you so much for taking the time and reporting very detailed about your Jasmina! It sounds like that I really have a rose to look forward to in the future! I especially liked your description of the blooms and also the fragrance. Your Jasmina (village lass) versus Mme. Isaac Periere (primadona) comparison was very cute, it helped me to get a feeling for the overall impression of the Jasmina. Many thanks, again. Christina

You are welcome Christina, I like both of them :) Thanks Aimee, I am also quite pleased with them too! :D It is always a bit tricky when buying roses online, without seeing them in person, but I like so far everything that I chose. :)
