I really liked this rose. It's one of the rare old "red" antique roses, but the white mixing it, gives this rose a lot of tastefullness...so much so, that I'm trying to grow it. I've noticed it at the park, it got a pretty hard case of blackspot after it's flush....but quite frankly, everything is blackspotted at the park due to the ridiculously moist and humid spring we have had....yuck. The rose definitely has a slight variation of colors from a dark magenta to a true red to a crimson which correlates well with the ruffled edges of the bloom.

Oh yeah, he is beautiful, also white lining is quite unique. BS does not seem too bad on him, I mean some of the HTs usually get completely naked from bs.
