wonderful! Thanks for taking farther away shots, too. I love Bow Bells everytime I see one.

I wish my sideyard got that much sun so I could have roses down it! :)

O Belle Isis. It was pictures of her that drew me to OGR's long ago, and before I found out I can't grow gallicas here in the land of long hot summers and short warm winters. But I kept the username anyway.

I wish my Marie Pavie would do that. Mine was struggling to begin with, and I suspect the yard guys accidentally sprayed her with something because all her leaves went crispy brown overnight. Think she will recover, though.

Thanks for the beautiful photos!

Thank you everyone!!

Aimee,
I'm glad you like the full shots. I have pretty much full sun everywhere though Fantin Latour is so big, I made a shade garden under him with tiarella, helebore, jack-in-the-pulpit, etc.

Audrey,
I wish I had more time to post and drool over everyone else's roses! I could always spend a lot of time in this forum.

Bellegallica,
You make me feel better about the long winters here. Have you ever seen her live and in bloom?

Ohhh Boy..

I like the Mme. Legras De St. GErmain shot.. but I think Belle Isis may be tops here for me.. thank you for sharing..

I grew Prarie Sunrise years ago.. unfortunetly.. the bucks were not that hardy of a class for me in the northeast.. just didnt thrive or died out as a whole..

I might have to add Mme. Legras De St. GErmain into my garden one of these years..

WOW!!

Thank you for giving me a look at that wonderful Marie Pavie. Mine is still a newborn.

My wish list just got much longer. I want them all!

What do you feed them? Every one is soooo healthy looking.

Silverkelt,
I'm surprised about the Bucks. They do so well for me. I love them, but I guess your weather and soil is quite different than here.

Betty,
You might not believe me, but I don't feed them.(Well the roses along the front walk do get pond water from when I clean the filter, but none of those are in this pic thread.) I do dig good holes and amend the soil when I plant and mulch well, but other than that they are pretty much on their own. I have added compost to Mme. Ernst Calvat in the past because she seem to have needed it. So once in a blue moon, I'll do that if a rose seems to be losing vigor, but most go for many years without any feeding.
I also haven't even sprayed them in years with insecticidal soap or anything. So the foliage is what it is. I really haven't had serious foliage issues in year. Dr. Huey that came with the house (not shown) gets black spot pretty good every year, but he is in such a difficult space to get out, I've left him there. Maybe one day I'll remove him.
So pretty much my garden is a tough love garden. I give you a good spot to put down roots, prune you once in awhile, if you seem to be starving, I'll feed you, but other than that, you are on your own, lol.

What very elegant taste you have in roses Remy. I love seeing your Hawkeye Belle. It's a larger and certainly cleaner blooming plant than mine. Such a beauty.

You have a beautiful collection of roses, Remy. Fantastic pics, I like the button eye on Belle Isis.

I added Mme Ernst Calvat to the garden one year ago, I really like it!
