| A couple of my climbers started blooming:
Etoile de Hollande - older hybrid tea climber with sweet old rose like fragrance
Sombreuil - very pretty pure white, also the fragrance is one of the best imho
Fräulein Octavia Hesse - white flowers with lemon tones in the center, more or less the size of New Dawn. I was surprised that she also has very lovely fragrance, somewhat lemony/apple, very fresh and tea-like.
New Dawn - older well known bullet proof climber, this year he put on a lot of size, looking as young adult rose, so I am waiting forward for the full show.
Paul's Himalayan Musk - just a small part of him.
Narrow Water - more rare noisette rambler, sport of Nastarana. Lovelly little thing, flowers are similar to Blush Noisette.
Golden Showers - it is a bit younger than the others, but this year I sort of like it, since he is very blousy and not looking like modern HTs at all. Flowers fade to pale yellow very quickly though.
Perpetually yours - it is one of the modern old fashioned looking climbers, quite happy about this Austin wannabe. He is a bit similar to Sombreuil, just more globular blossom, a lot of buds in a cluster, also lovely fragrance.

| Fräulein Octavia Hesse is a pretty rare variety, and a really good choice! Great roses :o) |
|
| Florence, I love my ND as well, so much beauty for so little effort! PHM as well is a sight in bloom, I can't wait for him to get really huge in a few years. Tomorrow I will try to sort out my more recent pics, there should be more of his abundance. :D Masha, thank you, it is a huge compliment hearing that from you. :) Morrisnoor - yes, Fr. Octavia Hesse deserves to be better known, her habbit and vigor reminds me New Dawn in teenage years a lot. Hope she reblooms some for me, but either way, she is reaching the top of the fence meanwhile, when her neighbors still are thinking that maybe they should get a cane after all. :) |

| These are beautiful. I am really enjoying Narrow Water this year, so fragrant, and hardy. A |

| I was a bit skeptical when buying Narrow Water, because I needed a rose that does well in the fried corner, but so far it is growing nicely and blooms a lot. I added some new pics to my picasa, it is mixed batch, but there are some bit more of the climbers also. :) |

| perpetually yours is interesting! I'd love to know more about it! I like Narrow Water, too. I'm really interested in noisettes lately. :) I look forward to seeing more of yours. and Sombreuil is always gorgeous! |

| My Perpetually Yours is still a baby, but bloomage is promising, looks like a lot of blooms in clusters (about 5-10). The blooms itself are not big, I would say around 2-3", fragrance is good too and quite fresh. Foliage so far is very clean for me without spraying, also somewhat smaller leaves, a bit inbetween wichurana' and mini's. I don't know if it would do well in your climate, did not seem to mind our heat wave all that much, but of course that's still cooler than where you are (Jude the Obscure and Constance Spry were wilting horribly though). Narrow Water I placed in full sun, pure clay, to somehow cover that corner and shade roots of the Japanese cherry... I did not mulch it, and did not fertilize it in time, but it does not mind at all, does not seem to notice the hot weather either. Really good rose. First flush lasted about a month and is finally ending, so I will see what he does next. He did not seem to drop blossoms during heat wave either, foliage is also very clean. |

| That's pretty awesome about Narrow Water! I have really heavy clay here, so that's cool. Thanks for more details. :) |
|
| He definitely does not mind clay aimee, before I planted him there, ground was horribly cracking in summer... Have you given some thought to Lamarque, Devoniensis or Marechal Niel? It is 3 roses that I would love to grow, but who are too tender for my climate, but perhaps they might do well for you? |

| And here is my new favorite, Nahema, with her old fashioned look:

| They are magnificent climbers; they must look spectacular in full bloom. |
