| Despite glaring sunshine I ended up with quite a few decent pictures on my most recent trip to the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden. Softly colored roses turned out the best, so here they are. I have included a very few moderns, sorry about that.

| Hehe overdose indeed, I went to Rosarium Winschoten this weekend, so now detoxing and spamming HMF with pictures. :D I love a shot of Princess of Wales, very clean indeed! |
|
| It's not an overdose, it's just right. So many interesting and little-known roses! I'm curious about Asta vor Parpart in terms of rebloom since I've heard that it does and it doesn't. If it's blooming now it must either be reblooming or has a very long first bloom period. Would you know about this Masha? Cesonie is really gorgeous and Duquesita and Marjorie Palmer are precious. All in all, a wonderful group again. Thank you for putting this together for us. Happy Fourth of July! Ingrid |

| Great pictures, I love the contrast and shadows! Eric |
|
| All beautiful but I thought Cesonie was extraordinary! Any additional information on it? |

| This makes me still want Perle de or. :( Maybe next year. :) Mme la Generale (Benoist) looks really interesting! I wish I could see it in person! |
|
| Thank you, everybody! Ingrid, I have been wondering about that too. I know I photographed it before but couldn't find when. I am tempted to say in spring, in which case it should be reblooming. I am sorry for being so vague, but there are so many roses.... I have a few more pictures from this visit which I am posting for you. It is a pretty big upright shrub with blooms on very short stems. Redsox, I want Cesonie too, and I am wondering about its bloom period too. Looking back at my pictures on HMF I see every bloom perfectly formed. It seems to me though that Labrea's pictures on HMF show a different rose. I know RVR is offering Cesonie now, but they acquired it in Oregon, so it may or may not be it unless both RVR and the Heritage are absolutely positive about IDs... Masha |

| Regarding Cesonie, I agree that LaBrea is photographing a different rose than ours. I think ours is correct. It should repeat, and the descriptions don't mention a light reverse as is seen in the BBG plant. Jill |

| Thank you very much, Jill, that helps a lot. I hope I can get it some time in future.:-) Maybe Vintage will offer it... Thank you, bustopher. Masha |
