| Here are some lovely roses from the Heritage Rose Garden. I am so happy to be posting again because my computer crashed a couple of weeks ago with lots of pictures lost (I did back up but not consistently). I got a new one last week and went to snap some pictures so I can look at them during the winter:-). I got a bigger screen too so now I can actually see what I am posting...
Cramoisi Superieur, Climbing Chris Warner, a rose I have not seen before but is very beautiful Spiny HP, a found rose from Sacramento Cemetery (I think) Vintage Visalia Smooth Melody. I love the hips and blooms together Gloire de Ducher. I love the blue edges on this one Melflor Pink Eutin Mlle Berthe Leveque "Legacy of the Maxwell Family", another found rose Snowbird Miranda Linda Campbell Lady Reading Lady Ann Kidwell Ivory Tower Blake Tea Yesterday I went as a chaperone with my 5-year old's field trip to a pumpkin patch. I had a group of noisy excited kids to keep track of so most pictures turned out to be worthless:-). However, here are some - enjoy the rich fall colors... For those within driving distance this is Uesugi Farms in Morgan Hill. Despite having two kids I am not a pumpkin patch afficionado:-) but this one is truly beautiful. |

| Hi Masha, I am glad to see you posting again, too :-)! The roses at the SJHR are always so wonderful. Chris Warner looks exquisite and I personally like Pink Eutin, Snowbird and Ivory Tower a lot. It is amazing to me, how much the roses at the SJHR are still blooming. With the rainy and the gray days behind us my roses have hardly any flowers in the moment. Today is the first at least partly sunny day and I hope for some more blooms in the future. The photos from the pumkin patch look so cheerful! Thanks for posting this eye candy! It motivates me to get out in my garden and get some work done! Christina |

| Thank you! Jumbojimmy, yes, I have a DSLR (an entry level one) and shoot in RAW. Thank you, Inga. Florence, I love Melflor too, it could be a good alternative for Dainty Bess which gets a lot of mildew here. Christina, I am glad to hear from you again. I got a lot of garden work done today too, including liberating some roses out of the pots finally! Masha |

| The one you labeled Smooth Melody is actually the rose that was planted next to it, which has gotten so big, it probably killed SM, and buried it's own plaque. It was a found rose, but I'm pretty sure it's Karen Poulsen, based on a note in the database by the previous curator, and the pictures on helpmefind. Sorry to hear about you losing some pictures. A warning to all of us to back up more often! Jill |

| Gorgeous roses, Masha, and a really great pumpkin patch. I'd love to take a ride on that cute train! I just had a second look at the roses and what a pleasure they are. I've said this before, but it's especially great that you post roses that aren't often seen. Most of us have the more familiar varieties so this exposure to the less common ones is really stimulating. Ingrid |

| Thank you for setting me straight, Jill:-) Thank you, Ingrid. Masha |

| Beautiful pictures. Normally I go for packed, plump blooms but, I keep having to look at Melflor (very good picture). I'm surprised you were able to get any pics. chaperoning 5 yr. olds. The one with the train is very good. They're all good. Thank you, Kitty |
