| The leaves won't be changing their colors until November here, but the garden has slowed down after an unseasonably early rain and resultant cool weather. The blooms from a week or two ago are gone, but I love this time of year because of the cooler weather. There are still many buds that will be in bloom soon, but I wanted to post some pictures now since the gallery has been so very quiet.

| The second and third photos are breathtaking. I also love the dark pink roses with the blue gray foliage. Is that Burgundy Iceberg looking so fabulous? Renee |
| Beautiful pics, Ingrid, the birdbath looks delightful. Your roses have lovely colors, they blend in wonderfully with the landscape. |
| Good ID Renee, that is Burgundy Iceberg. It's such a good rose in my climate. I'm glad you like my plant combinations. Krista, thank you. I consider it a great compliment that you think the roses blend well with the landscape. I would hate for anything to clash with the background. Ingrid |

| Your gardens look lovely---I LOVE the next to the last picture with the gorgeous view---- What an amazing area you live in !-- I also love the fall-----lovely cooler weather-----I hibernate in the heat of summer---- thanks for sharing Florence |
| Thank you kindly, Florence. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't feel very fortunate to be living where I am. I'm like you; during summer I rarely go in the garden during the day, and it's such a treat when it becomes cool enough to do so. Ingrid |

| WOW, what a view to look at everyday. Lucky you!! Everything looks great as usual. Is that a lilac bush or a purple crepe myrtle?? I purchased two new lilac bushes this spring that are supposed to rebloom during the year but our summer was so hot and dry it did good just to stay alive. lol!! Can't wait for it to get bigger. Take care, Judy |
| Thank you Judy! It's a purple crape myrtle. I've only seen a very few lilac bushes in this area; the scent always reminds me of my childhood. I hope so much that yours will bloom next year. Ingrid |

| Thanks Ingrid. I kinda figured it was a crepe. I love Crepe Myrtles. I have about 12 in different colors and they bloom all summer. No wait, 16. I go crazy buying so many of everything, its a serious problem. lol!! I need help. Nuff of that!! Do you ever prune yours?? I prune mine, well the ones I can reach, and they rebloom and I love it! I will hush now!! Take care, Judy |
| Judy, yes I do prune the shorter ones, and the smallest one did rebloom, for the first time this year, although not as much as the first time. Still, it was a nice surprise. Ingrid |

| Beautiful garden and pictures! The lighting and composition of the third one make it look like a woodland scene, cool and mysterious. In the foreground of the sixth picture there is a succulent looking plant, to the left of it a pink-flowered plant that looks a bit like a geranium from this distance, and to the left of that, a small pink rose. What is that rose? And what is hiding in that clump of trees at the top of the hill in the distance? |
| Thank you bellegallica. The succulent plant that I think you mean is a clump of iris leaves and, yes, you're right about the pink plant being a geranium. The pink rose is an own-root old Austin, Wife of Bath, which is staying quite small but blooms very nicely. Hiding behind the trees on the hill is an adobe house. It blends into its setting very well, a bonus for us since it doesn't spoil our view. Ingrid |

| I love the three-headed rock monster rearing his heads over your garden in I think it was the fifth pic. Is he scary in the dark? |
