Does anybody have a full bush photo of this rose? A lot of people, even the rose catalogue say: "it's one of the most beautiful of the old roses". I have grown this rose in the past but the blooms didn't wow me. It looks just like an ordinary pink rose. I only had it for one year so I'm thinking of giving this rose another try.

Jimmy, you may have received one of the imposters in commerce. The real deal produces blooms that are more than WOW! I'd try again. Paul Barden has noted that both Pickering and Rogue Valley Roses have true stock to his knowledge. I'm on the waiting list at RVR. See recent post on La Ville for photos and more info. Carol

La Ville de Bruxelles' is a wowser of a rose. I came across an old plant in bloom in a public park in Oakland California and I thought, now that is a pink rose worth having! It is voluptuous; a rose that made my heart expand and my soul sing for the sheer beauty of opulence in a rose.

| "It looks just like an ordinary pink rose." If this is how you thought your rose looked, then its almost certain you had a mislabeled plant, since 'La Ville de Bruxelles' could not possibly be described as "ordinary"!!

I saw and inhaled the fragrance of this rose once and have never forgotten it. Ordinary it was not.
