Hello. I have the following coming and I"m wondering how to combine them to the best effect---or in what beds to combine them with other roses.
2 Parade Lcl
2 Aloha Hawaii
2 Sombreuil
Mme Alfred Carriere
2 Phyllis Bide
various ramblers (bleu magenta)
Im thinking Sombreuil on my brick wall....
Thanks for any thoughts.
Susan

Sombreuil on the brick wall sounds like a great idea. The various ramblers you will need to be careful about combining with other roses as they can(not always depends) over whelm them. Madame Alfred gets pretty big. I have grown Parade with Violette. I loved the colors togther and Violette wasn't overly vigorous. Aloha I've always grown as a shrub. I've found it stiff and upright. Phyllis Bide has a lot of thickly growing fine canes. I don't grow it to grow through anything.

ooooh. Violette would be beautiful with Parade. I surely cannot buy one this year but that would be a lovely combo. Thanks.
Think Bleu Magenta might work? I have two of those.

Here is a link that might be useful: bleu magenta

My Bleu Magenta is three years old. The way it's growing right now it doesn't seem as wild as Veilchenblau or Donau. Sometimes these ramblers take off. The color would be nice I think.
