When I look at pictures of this rose on HMF I notice others are much more full. Quest-Ritson describes the blooms as double. Do you think all of the roses, or mine, are really Tausendschon?

Your pix look a lot like two Tausendschoens that I know. One is mine which is a found rose (I can trace it back to the woman who bought it) and ours have the same number of petals, except that mine is a lighter pink even though I grow it in two different soils and sun exposures. Mine do repeat some in the fall.

Another Tausendschoen is about four miles from my house and is in half day shade with a downspout watering it when it rains. Hers is more like yours in color and hers tends to go up more than mine (mine has a branching pattern very reminiscent of R. multiflora.)

The comment was that a lot of repeat blooming polyanthas were the sports of once blooming climbers that were introduced at the start of the 20th century. And that Echo was such a sport of Tausendschoen.
