I have ordered Anais Segales from Pickering, but can find no information on its disease resistance, growth habit and bush shape. Comments, anyone?
Thanks,
Judith
(I realize I should have asked BEFORE ordering, but that's how it goes with late-night impulse buying...:) |

I have many different gallicas in my garden, majority of them are happy and healthy here. Unfortunately AS is not BS resistant for me. Hope it will perform better in your colder zone. Olga |

| Anaïs Ségalas is relatively small in my garden. Though not a blackspot disaster it does benefit from some spraying as it has some Centifolia traits and I find those are more prone to spot. It is a beautiful flower-I do love a haloed rose, and it is wonderfully fragrant. Anyway it doesnt get very tall-4 ft at the most and it does arch out some but not much. I am very fond of it. patricia |

Thanks for the heads-up, Olga. I do use sulphur in the spring after pruning, and use Safers defender once or twice during the year if I get around to it. Hopefully that will discourage BS, and it will behave in my garden! Patricia, I AM looking for a smaller rose, so I am happy that it stays fairly compact in your garden. I was smitten by the flowers on HMF, and since fragrance is very important to me, it sounds as if I may also become very fond of it! Thanks, Judith |

| My Anais Segales has been in the ground since last spring, is smaller now than when I planted it as the wild cottontails lunch on it regularly. It must really be sweet, as they leave my other roses alone... |
