I've had this tea in my yard 4-5 years. Think I propagated but don't know/remember name--- very deep rose fragrance BUT flowers don't last long either cut or on shrub. Why ? Can u tell by looks what I 'm doing wrong, if any? Mulch? Ck Fert? Ck Water? Ck Prune? Didn't do much this winter The blooms look ok until they open and then they just collapse as one show in photo. What?????

By "collapse" do you mean the flowers nod over, or do you mean that the petals quickly fall off?

You might not be doing anything "wrong". There are some roses, (the LFC Golden Showers is a famous one), whose blooms do not last more than about 24 hours. I think the reason GS has its name is that, during the bloom flushes, it literally rains petals from all of the blooms that shatter (meaning all of the petals fall off) each day. In the heat of the Summer, my patio is sometimes literally awash in up to 6 inches of GS potpourri. Jackie

The rose at the top of photo has what I call "collapsed". They are beautiful for maybe one day as you say. Darn! The fragrance is out of this world!
