Just wondering. I'd like to get at least one rambler. No real preference on the color. Any suggestions?

Baltimore Belle would be good. Wichurana ramblers tend to be tender. Multiflora hybrids need acidic soil. If you have that, they should be hardy enough (I don't, and can kill them fairly easily) Older setigera hybrids, like Feasts, are at least hardy to zone 5. Some of Horvath's are, some aren't.

Thanks for the info. What about the Walsh ramblers? Are they hardy?

When looking for the hardiness of old roses, I often refer to HMF’s list of roses grown by breeder Mike Lowe, who lived nearby (zone 5B). His list includes 2 Walsh ramblers, Evangeline and Excelsa. Also on that list: Albertine I grow my Grandma's rambler that I "think" might be Excelsa. It is vigorous and indestructible (not to mention very lovely). Grandma lived on the north shore of MA which is now zone 6A, but I think it used to be considered 5. Family and friends have grown offspring of her plant throughout New England in zone 5 and even in 4B (north of Montpelier). Sorry that I can't say for sure if our rose is Excelsa, but whatever it is, it doesn't mind the cold. Last year I planted Veilchenblau and Walsh's America. Both grew like weeds in their first year and appear to have survived this very cold, snowy winter with no special protection. Also look at the inventory of these cold zone rose sellers: Northland Rosarium, High Country Roses, Pickering, Palatine. I personally recommend all of them for helpful service and advice.
