you are all so kind. I certainly have better photos of Madame Isaac Pereire; I think she got damaged by earwigs.

Ingrid, the USDA zone is on the cusp of 9A and 9B, and I did mean to include that with the photos. The bloom that you are asking about is Rose du Roi. (Sometimes "of commerce" is added.)

Carol, you are certainly right about the cramoisi thing; I see myself as a China rose; I could be cramoisi infErieur, I suppose. And yes, I have the climbing CS. And the rugosa (RdlH) needs to get planted in the ground very soon!
