I would definitely contact the vendor. The roses plus shipping are not cheap and you're entitled to get the rose you ordered. I would take a picture of the mislabeled rose and send it along with your e-mail. I can certainly understand and sympathize with your frustration.

Jaspermplants, ditto on what Ingrid suggests and sympathy for your trials! I have experienced similar frustrations with purchases of La Ville de Bruxelles...three times from three different nurseries! What are the odds? I'm now on RVR's waiting list. Also, thanks to RVR, I think I FINALLY have the real Comte de Chambord after a couple of misadventures with another nursery. The rep at the discombobulated nursery was a little snippy when I asked them to send me the Comte de Chambord I ordered instead of the Comte de Champagne I didn't order. The rep agreed sans apology and then the nursery sent an imposter which resembles Jacques Cartier. At that point I threw up my hands. Other nurseries have been quite nice and apologetic. One not-La Ville rose is so interesting that I kept it and never complained. I'll post it someday in hopes of an ID. Hope all goes well and you receive your treasured Bouquet! Carol

I always let the vendor know when I receive a mislabeled rose. Whether they do something or not they need to know. For the most part they are very good about trying to get me the correct rose.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'm going to contact the nursery this time and see what happens.

Even very competent, responsible nurseries sometimes make mistakes. Indeed, we all do. Do give them a chance to make good.

I agree. Any good nursery will gladly replace mis-labeled roses.
