Early Bloom Tour, Mar 30, Sacramento Cemetery

Hi -
I will be leading an early bloom tour on Mar 30 at 10 am in the Sacramento Historic Rose Garden in the cemetery. The banksiae should be in full splendor, including the single white one that goes 50' up a pine tree, and many of the teas and chinas. With luck, Ramona will still have flowers - it's fabulous but only lasts a couple of weeks. We are at 1000 Broadway in Sacramento. Hope that a few of you in the area can make it.
Anita

I wish I could make it. I wonder if the whole garden will be a little early this year.

It does sound like a wonderful tour. I've never seen that giant banksiae in full bloom. All by itself that might be worth the trip.

I'm bumping this up in case any of you are able to make this tour. We are having an early bloom this year. Not only are the banksiae in full splendor but there is a lot of bloom on the Teas and Chinas. I believe that their peak will be over by our Open Garden on April 20th (although the HPs and Albas and other roses will probably be at their best), so now or the next couple of weeks is a good time to visit the cemetery. I'll be leading the tour starting at 10 am.
