| Any guesses on this pink rose?
Some background info on it: It is growing on our side of the neighbors garage. Our house was built in the 1890's, the garage includes a horse stall. The properties were sub divided in the 1920's. I think that rose was there when my parents bought the place in the 1960's. Until 1980 there was a long long (I love Lucy style) vintage travel trailer infront of the rose. Or so I think The canes stay that bright green. This is the first year we have been able to get close to the rose in years, bees in the garage made gardening there impossible. I have no idea when that rose was pruned last. I think it is on its own root, as it has "babies" that have started by it. There is no scent, I think it re blooms http://www.carolsimages.com/My-Month-Current-Images/Moms-Old-House-Gar den-April/i-3CH8SHR/0/M/20120406-gardenMG3470-M.jpg I hope the link works, but will copy to the album below For Jeri, or anyone else, a different pink http://www.carolsimages.com/My-Month-Current-Images/Moms-Old-House-Gar den-April/i-LHwFfBb/0/M/20120406-gardenMG3512-M.jpg |

| Wish I could help with the ID, Kippy, but I don't recognize it. I did want to tell you though that I love your beautiful old house and your gardens are just gorgeous! Thanks for the tour! |

| I don't, kipy -- maybe Kim will have a suggestion - but I have a found epiphyllum that's a match for your pale pink. :-) Jeri |

| Jeri, my dad loved his eps, we have given away truck loads of potted cuttings but still have them in a variety of colors. This is just the first one starting, but we have from white to yellow to salmons to pinks to reds to magentas and purples I figured for sure someone would know what that pink rose is, it is hardy at least |

| To try and figure out what this rose is, should I take a part a flower and count the petals? Would that narrow down the pinks? It is busy putting out flowers, they seem to hold pretty well on it too. |

| Kippy, the problem is, pink is the 'default color' for roses. Maybe a raft of photos, at different stages -- images of the whole plant, of a leaf, with all of its leaflets -- the stipule could be helpful. Sprays? Blooms with something for size? Buds. Hips. Jeri And, even then ... |
