| Nik, yes, even here in cooler, cloudier Portland, OR, mine has been thriving in partial shade for 10 years. It blooms constantly and with abandon and I have to prune the bush by almost half each spring to keep it in check. Carol |

| In Sacramento, which has a hot dry Mediterranean climate, it thrives in full sun. It's been found throughout the California foothills in areas with little or no summer water, so I think it's fairly drought tolerant. Anita |

| Mine also gets shade, mostly afternoon, and does fine. I planted mine as a band and was in a hurry to get it in, so the hole was not well-ammended. It took its time about getting big, but it has toughed it out and is now a fine bush. |
