I would like to see snaps of peoples standardised antique roses, mainly Austins and Teas I guess. I'm really not a fan of the "flower-ball on a stick" look, but I stumbled across this lovely rose for sale on gumtree and thought maybe heritage roses would make a nice rose "tree", simmilar to that old devoniensis in the Sacramento Cemetery. They would need to have a good form, with no octopus canes for it to work I'd say. The bush devoniensis would probably be good.

Octopus canes are often what makes a standard more graceful. In the old days ramblers were used for weeping standards. I like that better than the upright look.

Good point. They would be nice if they looked like an actual tree.
