 o
Sac Historic Rose Garden Open Garden - schedule?

I have looked on the web sites of the rose garden and the Historic Cemetery, but cannot find any schedule of when the various tours will be on April 12 during the Open Garden. Does anyone know where I can get this info?

Also, I am looking forward to the list of the roses which will be for sale on that day - where/when might we expect that?

Jackie

Jackie,

The list of roses available for sale is not published yet. I'm pretty sure that once the catalog is finalized Jeri will post a link here on Garden Web.

The day's schedule includes the volunteers having all set up done by 9 am.
The rose sales will begin at 930 am
Anita's tour won't begin until 1015 so as to allow you to purchase roses.
There will be a history tour given at 11 am.
The Silent Auction will end at 1230pm
There are plans for a second rose tour after the auction ends, at about 1245.

I usually give a tour, but am out of commission due to a broken ankle, so Anita will be stretched thinner than ever covering 2 tours.
I hope to be there for at least a few hours at the welcome table.

Thanks Janelle - that is exactly what I wanted to know! I am bringing 2 friends who only grow a few HTs, and I really wanted to make sure that we are able to go on a rose tour.

Jackie -- The catalog SHOULD be available on line within 24-48 hours.

God willin' and the creek don't rise.

Jeri, you forget here in SoCal we are hoping for the creeks to rise :)

But looking forward to the catalog!

Well, it's finally up -- even tho no cricks have risen. AND there is a scedule in it. :-)

You can see it at: http://www.goldcoastrose.org/

It will also be up on the Historic garden website, and is likely by now up on the Heritage Roses Group and the Ventura County Rose Society.

Jeri :-)
