my first blooms of Spring

Sorry for the blurry and sideways photo but wanted to share. I edited this photo 4 times and still GW didn't show it properly....so sorry!
Nur Mahal bloomed first in a photo finish with Winecup and Clair Matin! Followed quickly by Rodhatte (band). You can see my massive Schonste on the fence. Nur Mahal is just below Schonste with Clair Matin to the left and Winecup in the foreground lower left. Rodhatte is in the mid left.
Archduke Charles is right behind the birdbath and he is ready to BURST!
Also blooming not in this photo are Milkmaid, Blush Boursault and Sophie's Perpetual. OH! and Climbing Devoniensis (which is so sublime).
Yay!

Beautiful shades of green: mint green, chartreuse, emerald green

Lovely--roses around a birdbath. Nur Mahal is so vivid and yet such a wonderful team player. You have so many unusual and delightful cultivars! I hauled my mom's birdbath from Dallas to PDX after she moved into long-term care. It's still sitting in my driveway, as per my usual procrastination, but as soon as the lake clears up in my back garden, I plan to lug the concrete bath to a bed space. All that's blooming for me at the moment is Lady Banks. Thanks for the flowers! Carol

Beautiful even sideways, and sure to be spectacular when all the roses in that area begin to bloom.

Thanks y'all! Bluegirl, I like the shades of green too!
I had to quit feeding the birds (I mean squirrels) so now they just stop by to bathe. I'd say I see 6 or 7 every day.
Cardinals like the shallow water. Robins dive right in and really delight in it.
Schonste, CPM and Aglaia are full of buds....so it won't be long.
Hope to get a better picture!
Susan

It looks beautiful, green and lush!

I miss cardinals. Chirrup, chirrup, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp. They remind me of my grandparents' and parents' gardens. Carol
