Crepuscule is amazing!

I'm completely blown away by this rose and its only 2 years old. She is covered in buds and is very easy to care for. If all teas and noisettes are this easy I'm definitely buying more.

Lovely rose and great pic of a giant swallowtail! I haven't seen one in years. Carol

AviaStar- you won't be disappointed. All I did was throw a handful of organic fertilizer at her, other than that I have not done anything special for her.

Carol- I see swallowtails more often since we planted a few orange trees.

Crepuscule is one of my favorite roses. Everyone who lives where it is happy would be well rewarded by growing it.

You get a lot of butterflies (and a lot of birdsong, too) if you plant a wide variety of plants species, especially if you include some flowering plants that are native in the mix. And if you also do not use insecticides. Lawns might as well be deserts as far as birds and butterflies are concerned.

It's a glorious rose isn't it? My young one just opened it's first bud. It's the first time I see Crep's buds. Mine looks less apricot and more buff-yellow.

I forgot to add that I've never met a rose I couldn't smell but Crepuscule would be the first :(

I don't look for scent in teas. My nose can't smell the tea fragrance, so they all might as well be scentless as far as I am concerned. A number of people cannot detect the tea fragrance, so I am pretty sure I am not the only one to ignore that quality when evaluating true teas (as opposed to hybrid teas).

My most important criterion for true teas is this: will it mildew in my climate? If not, then I consider it.

This is one of my favorite roses. I had a huge, glorious one that was growing up a fence - while I was having the house painted, the painters moved it off the fence, in doing so, broke it off at the ground. I was just sick.......I plan to plant another one next time I am at Chamblees.....Have 2 others planted on an arbor but they are young. This rose, once established, is just fabulous!! Should be in every garden.
