I would love to hear your experiences and photos of this rose.

I love the unique color that Paul's photos of his rose show but noticed the other posted photos on HMF are more pink.

What would you complement the color with (rose or other) nearby?

I love my Won Fang Yon! It seems to get a bit leggy but I keep it pruned. Blooms lots - it is hard to compare its color to anything else - but it is a really lovely shade - reddish coral? It is different and I really love it - a vigorous bush. If you don't have it, I think you would really like it.

I've had this rose for less than a year and love it! It is a hard color to describe, sort of a pinkish salmon, a bright and very pretty color. I believe one of the parents is Mons Tillier and it reminds me a bit of that rose. The color is somewhat similar but maybe a bit softer. It is very vigorous and healthy and blooms, blooms, blooms. It is a winner in my garden.

It is a somewhat phototropic rose; it opens a soft coral hue but darkens with sun exposure to something more Chinese red. I have seen occasional blooms open in that silky, shimmering pink hue like some of the HMF photos, but those blooms always end up shifting more red/orange as they age.

In the Won Fang photos on RVR, this rose looks almost like it matches the color of Ingrid's wall behind her blue and white Chinese porcelain on the "Tea Roses and Other Things" thread. I'll bet Won Fang looks positively smashing with blue companions! Carol
