| Hi all, This very large and well-stocked nursery has some 45,000 roses including a DA test garden. I was out there today, and learned they're having Rose Days in two weeks, 4/24 through 4/26. There are going to be talks and instruction on various aspects of rose care, i.e. bugs, spray vs. no-spray, growth, bloom, etc. Otto & Sons is in Fillmore, about halfway between I-5/Magic Mountain/Valencia and the coast/Ventura). Well worth the drive, which is scenic and features orange groves aplenty. Hey, maybe some of us would like to meet up there - ? PM me. Thanks, Sylvia |
