Helpmefind has this nursery listed as one of the only vendors for some roses . Has anyone bought from them before? I do not see them mentioned.

I betcha that is Angel Gardens -- In Florida? I have not bought from them, but I know the owner -- and I know other people have done so, happily. She is also the Convener of a local Heritage Roses Group. Jeri

I have visited Angel Gardens and Pam Greenewald, the owner, is a fantastic woman and lover of all things roses! I have many of her roses and they have all done well. I recommend them without hesitation. Susan

I haven't bought from them because I'm in California. I've never heard a bad word said about Angel Gardens.

Do you mean Angel Gardens in Alachua, Florida? Ordered the Brownell rose 'Lafter' from Pam & received a gallon mid-April. Very pleased with the size & health of the plant, which arrived when specified in great condition. About 14" tall by 8" wide on arrival (with a fat bud). Gave it a week of conditioning to transition from Florida due to the on-again off-again Spring swings here with unusually cool temps interspersed with warm/hot days. Still in its original pot. Gave it diluted fish emulsion a couple of weeks ago. Just measured its growth - now 28" high by 18" wide - with a set of swelling buds. Consider its ability to grow so vigorously under these conditions very impressive. Two more of Pam's gallon roses on order should arrive soon - Dream Girl & Talisman, Climbing. She also grows her roses organically. Highly recommend!

If Angel Gardens is successfully using all organic methods in steamy, hot Florida, that is a truly impressive achievement. I spent most of my rose budget at Vintage this year (sob), but I will probably be looking over the AG list for 2015.
