We have had our property fenced in and in order to do so, we removed the horrible native privets that were very overgrown and invasive. We are very pleased with the fence except that now the back neighbor's shed is in full view. We keep our firewood about two feet from the fence, but we plan to move it, allowing me to plant something to cover the view. i have a young crepuscule that I can plant there, but I am concerned that it may not cover the 12-16 foot length of the shed. I also have a Veilchenbleu that I could transplant if that rose would provide denser foliage. Any opinions? Molly

Not sure if Crepuscule will cover your shed. Maybe in your zone it will. But if your looking for a real vigorous house eater of a rose you may want to consider Cl. Cecile Brunner. I have two of them, and believe me once established (which was pretty quick for me) it will smother that shed of yours with hundreds upon hundreds of beautiful once-blooming deliciously fragrant pink blossoms.

Thanks for the suggestion of Cl Cecile Brunner!! The shed actually belongs to the neighbor behind our fence. I want the rose to grow along our fence line to cover the view of his shed. The firewood stack belongs to us, but I will remove the firewood and that is where the rose will be planted. Thanks again, Molly

My 'Crepuscule' is 15'-18' long. I had it espaliered on a wall with a rather bleak exposure and am currently shifting the canes (not the plant) onto a pergola so that it gets more sun. If this variety does well in your area, which I would guess it would, it should be plenty big enough. Melissa

My Crepuscule would easily cover that shed, but it wouldn't happen in one growing season here.

Madame Alfred Carriere would take of that shed like nobody's business.
