Anyone grow Setina? If so please tell me about it!

I've had my eye on this rose now for some time. I love the color and want a nice pink climber. Could someone tell me about it and how you like or dislike it? How it does as far as disease goes? It says it's an excellent repeat.
Thanks!
Meghan

It's a really lovely rose. After looking at it for 3 years now in the nursery, I finally planted two of them on a new arbor a few weeks ago. One of them has since sent out about 5 new basal canes, and they have not stopped blooming. I believe it's supposed to be a sport of Hermosa, and has those same wonderful flowers. Hermosa was a great, healthy rose for me in Texas, so I imagine if this is truly its climbing sport, it should do wonderfully for you in SC.

Thanks Ron, I will go ahead and try it. It sure looks like a lovely rose to me.

It is very beautiful and healthy but basically a once bloomer.

I hate to hear that it doesn't repeat well for Pam. I've kept a eye on mine for several years tring to get an idea of what it will do. This spring, it was awesome..

I wonder if that's a weather difference between you and us, Pam. Ours in the pots bloomed quite well nearly all of last year. I hope it does as well in the garden.

Ron your Climbing Iceberg repeats well too and mine doesn't. I think it's just a little more moderate where you are.

So the temperature really is making a pretty big difference on remontancy. I didn't know your Cl. Iceberg doesn't repeat very well. As you said, ours does, we get 3 or 4 Spring-like flushes a year on them.

Speaking of, someone brought in a few branches of a climbing rose that looks just like iceberg in every respect, except that every flower has a scallop to the edge of all petals. I wonder if they have a slight sport?

If Setina is anything like Hermosa here, it will be a blackspot disaster unsprayed.

I am trying to decide between the Eden climber, Setina, and Quietness. Looking for a disease resistant pink climber for 8b< Louisiana humidity.
