Sorry to be so slow -- but I am frantically getting things ready to take to next weekend's wonderful
CELEBRATION OF OLD ROSES
In El Cerrito, CA (See Info, below):

I have a list of roses to be included in the SILENT AUCTION which the Heritage Roses Group will offer -- Here are things that are almost never offered . . . And Alice Flores, who has grown the plants up, promises me great ones. :-)

Here they are:

Lovely roses, Jeri. See you soon! I believe there will also be some HRG roses for sale rather than auction - I am bringing a few leftovers from our Open Garden to add to the grouping.

Thanks guys -- I'm excited to say, there will be roses available for sale -- in addition to the Silent Auction -- from the Heritage Roses Group, and from the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden. Interesting and exciting things.

And Alice keeps teasing me with possible additions to the Silent Auction.

Sooooooo ... There's no excuse for not going home with roses!

How fortunate you all are in California to have such a great network of rose friends! Good luck, have fun.

Jeri, I just have to say again THANKS. You have done so much for the cause of old roses. . I'll be there in a new role selling roses for the non-profit Friends of Vintage Roses. I hope we can get it together to sell rare roses from the collection every year.

I hope you can, to.

All any of us can do, really, is share, share, share these roses . . . because in bad times, distribution is the best hedge against extinction.

Just beware, coming in. There are changes in the parking lot.

No problem for people coming (in fact, cars will be shaded!) but a double-row of solar panels will make life difficult for anyone with a high-profile vehicle.

Yes. A goodly number of roses for sale by HRG, and also from the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden . . . So, I'm looking forward to a better supply of roses than we've had in the past.

Getting excited about the weekend!

Hope to see some of you in San Juan Bautista today, and more of you in El Cerrito tomorrow.
