I've noticed his absence for some time now and have begun to wonder, since he was an almost daily presence here. I miss him and hope that everything is okay with him. Does anyone have any knowledge of what's happened to him? Ingrid

I got an email from him not too long ago; I suspect it may be finals, or possibly work. He did tell me he was able to go to Rose Dango, but then got called in to work and was disappointed not be able to meet Connie.

| Search GW for JoshTx, it will bring up his page. You can email him directly through there (I looked). I'd imagine receiving an email from you expressing your concern over his conspicuous absence would be welcomed and not an intrusion. Those emails have always have been welcomed when I've sent them. | I emailed Josh to let him know about your check-in, Ingrid. You are a good friend. :-) Carol |

Thank you Carol, that's so sweet of you. If he's just busy that's fine, and finals are more important than roses. I just wanted to be sure he was okay. He's such a nice young man and I enjoy his posts. Ingrid

Hey everyone, I got Carol's email and I apologize for my absence! A couple of factors have led to my quietness on the forums, but none more so than the fact that I no longer have roses at my house. At my parents request, I moved all of my roses off the property and now they're growing happily at a friend's place. So I regretfully have little day to day rose exposure. My brother also came home from Afghanistan and I agreed to be the Safety Coordinator for my company's building, so I've been buzzing around quite busily for the past few weeks. Hopefully I will make a comeback soon :) Thanks for your concern! I'm thankful to have such great friends! Josh

Home from Afghanistan! What a treat! I wish him well, and am thankful that he is serving our country. Good luck to you and your family. Sammy

Josh, I'm glad all is well except of course the loss of not having your roses with you. There is a garden of your own in your future, and I hope you'll still be here to share it with us. I'm glad your brother is back safely. Ingrid

Amen to all the above, and I hope you get roses back in your daily life again soon. Congratulations on your brother's being home. Melissa |

While a very tiny part of me dittos the sentiments of Ingrid and Melissa, the misanthropic, resentful storm cloud that is Bellegallica can't help admitting that if it came down to a choice between family and roses, the roses would win.

belle, my first thought was how sad it was that parents would deny their child something that gives him happiness; what could possibly be more important to them than that? Ingrid
