Patience....and Spirit of Freedom

Three to four years ago I planted a 2 gallon Spirit of Freedom (DA) and have been grumbling ever since...

I gave it a great location, and it grew, no problem, but (you know the problem) no blooms. Last year I did get a bud, tiny little thing, but it didn't progress.

ANYWAY, today I was walking the morning rose walk and the darned thing was full of open flowers!! I had given up, and really had not been 'checking it". Blooms were not the mature size, but WOW!!! Some of y'all convinced me to hang in there, and sure enough, you were right!! Great fragrance, too.

I am so pleased! I am generally pretty impatient, but I just may have a great rose!!

I'm happy to hear that it is blooming. Patience is a virtue often with roses.
