| I knew when Burpee bought it that Heronswood was beyond their native talents, but... I met Mr. Hinkley when he came to Vermont to speak - a very nice man. I hardly got a word though, because everyone else wanted two. PortlandMysteryRose: The good news is that he still exists and of course still loves plants. Please go to the May event if you can - see below. |

| Thank you so much for the information, Sand and Sun! I'd lost touch with Heronswood. It's encouraging that Dan is still available for horticultural/botanical wisdom sharing and travel stories and that the garden/collection is under his care again. I have high hopes for a renewal of the garden's former glory. If I can find a way, I'll attend the event. If not, I'm going to keep Dan and Heronswood on my radar for the future. Carol |
