Revisited the Araleuen Botanical Park on Sunday and actually managed to find the heritage rose section. Wow. Amazing. I had seriously underestimated the potential of some of my teas, and promptly reconfigured my beds when I arrived home. Wish I had of visteded there before I started buying... Mrs B R Cant is as big as a land cruiser! Luckily I heard she was a big lady and had already made room for her. Despite its tiny stature, the biggest standout for me was Marie Lambert. How could you not love a glowing ivory, passionfruit scented rose?

According to the Australian book on Tea roses, the rose grown as 'Marie Lambert' in Australia is the same rose we in the US call 'Ducher'. If you search through the threads here, you'll see it being praised under either name. :-) ~Christopher

I sure like 'Ducher.' Mine is still small, but it was found up around Chico, near an old chapel, blooming its heart out, in late December. The friend who gave it to me said, when she put it next to a fence, it shot up over 5 ft.
