It's supposed to be a double form of Rosa virginiana. I've got it in my pot ghetto and it's blooming this year. I got it last year as a band from Vintage. It's a beautiful rose. I'd like to hear from people what height and width their plant has achieved.

Hi Diane, I'm not sure about it's ultimate height because I had to move it from a too shady location. So I cut it back during the winter and moved it. At the time it was 5 feet tall but not mature. I think it is a very beautiful and unique rose. I'm glad you're growing it.

Hi Pamela, thanks for responding. I am quite smitten with it. It's blooming for me with only 4-5 hours of sun. How much shade was yours in originally? Diane

Mine grew only to 5 feet as it was too busy spreading all over the area. If happy, this rose will sucker and any half inch piece left in the soil will grow quickly into another Rose d'Amour. Never had any problems with disease. One of the more attractive of the species with a light fragrance.
